Wentworth Club

Wentworth Club

Overview:

Before it was transformed into the Wentworth Club in 1922, Wentworth served as a private home for the Duke of Wellington's large family.

The Wentworth Club is a world-class golf facility that can be found in the centre of the Surrey Sandbelt. The West, The East, and The Edinburgh are three courses with a total of 54 holes.

Within a few kilometres, The Berkshire Red and Blue, Swinley Forest, Sunningdale Old and New, and Queenwood are all neighbours of Wentworth Club. This may very well be the world's best stretch of inland golf.

Alongside being the headquarters of the DP World Tour, formerly known as the European Tour, Wentworth is also the birthplace of golf's potentially biggest tournament, the Ryder Cup, as shown below.

Representation:

British culture is represented at Wentworth Club. Due to the events it hosts and its regular appearance on television, it has a significant presence in the minds of the British people. In fact, Wentworth hosted the first golf tournament to be telecast on television in 1952, with Henry Longhurst providing commentary. Even though it's your first time, the site gives you the impression that you've been there before.

The Club itself is of the highest calibre in all respects. The Wentworth Club touts "unrivalled excellence" and then goes above and beyond expectations, from the classic 1920s, castellated clubhouse covered with Virginia creeper to the opulent dining selections, tennis, fitness club, and sumptuous spa.

Wentworth is also home to the prestigious BMW PGA Championship, as shown below,

How do you join:

A six-figure debenture is now the only way to become a member. For your money, you also receive three golf courses and a club with a golfing legacy that is only surpassed by St. Andrews. The standards? You'll need to be approachable, kind, and knowledgeable about proper golf etiquette. It's probably better if you haven't insulted any of the present members in the past.
