Queenwood Golf Club
Queenwood
Perhaps the most elite club in all of England is Queenwood
Golf Club. In Ottershaw, Surrey, England, the golf course is located across
from Foxhills Golf Club. David McLay Kidd's Queenwood Golf Club, which debuted
in 2001 and is now one of Surrey's most prestigious heathlands, is located west
of London.
The Course:
The strong green complexes and heather-covered bunkers at
Queenwood Golf Club are its features. The routing consists of two nine-hole
loops that start and finish at the clubhouse. The rear nine are in a counterclockwise
loop, while the front nine are in a clockwise circle. The quantity of gorse
that was planted between holes was noteworthy. Many of the courses have
gorse-covered mounds on either side of the fairway, which give each hole its
own unique look, and perhaps provide the feeling of seclusion to its members.
The club is fiercely
defending their fee schedule. It is analogous to attempting to access MI6's IT
system. To be taken into consideration, you must have a sizable money account
and a thick contact book filled with people who like you. The club also has
favourable views of people who have achieved success in their particular
sector. The joining cost, which was reportedly £150,000 when the company opened
in 2005, is now rumoured to be well over £200,000.
The exclusivity of Queenwood Golf Club is part of its
appeal. It is magnificent and deserves all the attention and acclaim it has
received. It strikes a fine balance between being spotless and well-kept yet
remaining neither manufactured nor artificial. The green on the 12th is as
distinctive as you'll ever see, with strong green sites. If you get the chance
to look through the gates, do so!
